CRITICAL REVIEW OF FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT PRACTICES IMPLEMENTED IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING PROGRAMS IN SINDH

Purpose of the study: The purpose this study is to explore merits and demerits a formative assessment technique used in an English language learning program Sindh. teachers teaching students rural Sindh implemented end, shared their views about effectiveness program. Methodology: research based on qualitative method. Formative was conducted At end program, 6 male 12 female teachers, who were selected purposive sampling method, participated focused group interview share technique. data analyzed using content thematic analysis. Main Findings: reported as helpful identifying gaps, providing constructive feedback, students’ strengths, empowering creating stress-free assessment. Similarly, being time-consuming, unconventional strategies, lack professional development adopting new strategy. Applications Many regularly implement classrooms are always search some good material make more fruitful result-oriented. This will be useful for such teachers. They can benefit from findings improvise method Novelty/Originality one its kinds teachers’ perspectives drawbacks People have recently joined fraternity must inquisitive various techniques going assist them not only deciding whether they want class, but it also prepare advance encounter limitations take necessary measures address these limitations.
